Description: Please pre-book for this ride by contacting the ride leader. Sociable ride of 24-40 km (15-25 miles) at a pace of 18-20km/h (11-13 mph). Up Hackpen, coffee at Goodies in Lambourn, return via Seven Barrows and down Blowingstone
Riders: Angie Fisher Barry Stanton John Groves Patrick O'Leary Paul Bentley Pauline Clark Richard Kidd Roger Turnbull Tim Hoyle Riders = 9 Report: Today’s ride didn’t start well as Paul Bentley broke a cleat within a few hundred metres. He peeled off to go home with a slightly optimistic wish to meet us at coffee. He must have flown because he was one of the first to get there. Wind was a significant factor today. A headwind on the way up Hackpen and a rather crosswind on the way down into Lambourn. The return climb over the ridge and most of the return route was considerably assisted by tailwinds.
