Off Road Thursday Evening Ride	2*

Leader: Eddie Little	Start Time: 6:30 pm	Start Location: Ridgeway Cycles
Description: Please pre-book for this ride by contacting the ride leader. Off-road ride around local tracks, usually about 10 - 15 miles. Knobbly tyres required and good lights when it gets dark (‘get you home’ lights in Spring/Autumn). We are keen to welcome new riders and can make recommendations or have spare lights to borrow if you let us know. Dark, cold and wet - we’ll ride in any two. But please let us know if you are coming so we can tell you if we decide to cancel due to bad weather or other reasons. A nice route with a few ups and downs. From Wantage we’ll head out to East Lockinge following the bridleway up through Knights Farm onto the Ridgeway. We’ll then follow Old Street into Bluebell Woods, then looping back round and returning to the Ridgeway via Ilsley Downs and Larkhill. Expect to be back in Wantage for around 08:15pm. Ride distance 14.4 miles/ 23km.
Riders: Anke Otto Eddie Little James Pearson Paul Wensley Roger Postbeschild Tim Waite Riders = 6 Weather: Report: We had perfect weather conditions, blue skies and full sun. A very pleasant ride through East Lockinge along the Ridgeway enjoying the beautiful descent along Old Street, where we followed this lovely trail up into Bluebell woods. We did a full loop of the woods. The sun was shining through the trees onto the bluebells and wild garlic which made for an amazing ride. We returned to the Ridgeway via Ilsley Down. Unfortunately one of our riders took a nasty tumble resulting in concussion and bruising. The rider was checked out on scene by paramedics. Rider is recuperating at home, and will soon be back on their bike. Thanks to everyone for their help and support.
