Tuesday Evening 1* Ride to West Hanney and Pub Night	1*

Leader: Carin Tranter	Start Time: 6:30 pm	Start Location: OMH
Description: A scenic loop around the Vale to Lyford and West Hanney (11 miles). It is also the first of our monthly summer pub nights with an optional stop at the Fox in Denchworth towards the end of the ride. It can get cold in the lanes on April evenings, so please wrap up; gloves recommended. Lights required if cycling home later from the Fox. Please pre-book for this ride by contacting the ride leader. Our leisurely and sociable Tuesday evening 1* rides are designed specifically with adult newcomers to cycling and youngsters in mind, or those who just want some relaxed and sociable exercise. We cover a distance of 10-15 miles (16-24km) at a gentle pace of 8-10 mph (13-16kph), following quiet country lanes and the occasional easy off-road track. We stop regularly to catch our breath, to take in the views and anything that takes our interest along the way.
Riders: Carin Tranter Steve Swanton Tim Waite Riders = 3 Weather: Report: A select group set off from Grove and into the face of the wind. The road up from Hanney to the turn to Lyford was particularly tough and I was grateful to Steve for taking a turn on the front. It was a relatively short ride this early in the season and it wasn't too long before we were back in Denchworth and the Pub. Steve and I stopped for a meal with riders from the other groups and Tim stayed for a drink and some crisps. A good ride
