3* Bank Holiday Special - From Hungerford	3*

Leader: Sharon Bedford	Start Time: 9:00 am	Start Location: Hungerford Station Road Car Park
Description: Please pre-book for this ride by contacting the ride leader. All-day touring ride, lunch and possibly tea stop en route, at a riding pace of 18-22km/h (11-14mph). Not suitable for irregular riders. 9AM start from Hungerford Station Road Car Park (on the left as you turn down towards the station - postcode RG17 0DY - According to Mr Google £3.20 to park all day) I make no excuse for (mostly) repeating a ride we have done before - a loop to Marlborough - as it is one of my favourites. The full loop is 75k and we will stop at Marlborough for refreshments at about 46k. Exact location will be determined by bank holiday openings. When we return to Hungerford anyone who wants to can leave the ride there. For anyone who has the time and energy (and assuming the weather is kind) I plan to get a drink / snack in Hungerford and then do another 25k loop. Optional whether you join me, but of course it would be lovely if you did. Let me know if you are coming.
Riders: Andy Pixton Jo Little John Tranter Katherine Boyce Roger Postbeschild Sharon Bedford Riders = 6 Report: A bit of a misty morning first thing - but apart from a few short light showers the rain largely stayed away. I was pleased with the route (always good when computer plans translate well into reality) which was mostly on quiet lanes - the countryside looking lovely and green in its spring splendour. It was a hilly route - (15 hills per garmin - apart from John T who only had 2!) but we all attacked them with enthusiasm. Unfortunately we had a bit of an obstacle about 2k from the end as a herd of bullocks were blocking the road. Roger P cycled past unperturbed but the ride leader decided to walk! Lovely café stops in Marlborough and Hungerford and a great group to cycle with.
