Regular Wantage Ride: Harlequin Hack Audax	3*

Leader: Sharon Bedford	Start Time: 9:30 am	Start Location: Uffington Village Hall
Description: Please pre-book for this ride by contacting the ride leader. Monthly 80-100km (50-65 miles) all-day touring ride, lunch and possibly tea stop en route, at a riding pace of 18-22km/h (11-14mph). Not suitable for irregular riders. As this an Audax, you must book this in advance at: https://www.audax.uk/event-details/calendar/14277-the_harlequin_hack The £7 entry includes free food at the start and finish. There will be a cafe stop in the Chipping Norton area. A relatively easy 110k with 750m of climbing. If the weathers good it’s always a good day out on the bike! Riders: Andy Pixton Barry Stanton Jo Little Joy Arthur Katherine Boyce Philippe Marchioro Sharon Bedford Riders = 7 Report: A great group of 7 signed up to join the WCUK team outing for this Audax. We set off on time with great enthusiasm and speed fuelled by the tail wind blowing us most of the way to the first cafe stop at Cogges Farm, Witney. We didn’t linger too long as we knew we had the hilly part of the ride ahead of us - but actually we soon arrived in Chipping Norton to get our Brevit cards stamped. We skipped lunch there and carried on past Diggley Squat Farm (which was busy as ever but at least they have now built a car park!) to Chadlington where we sat outside in the sunshine for sandwiches. The ride back was hillier than we remembered but lovely - and despite the rain forecast we stayed largely dry. The post-Audax food was very welcome - and our thanks go to the Audax organisers for putting on a great day out.
