Tuesday Evening 1* Ride to Garford and Pub Night	1*

Leader: Carin Tranter	Start Time: 6:30 pm	Start Location: OMH
Description: A ride out and back to Garford using the track via Hanney Lane Bridge to West Hanney, returning via Lyford (13 miles). An opportunity to visit the tiny church in a farmyard at Garford. There will be optional stop at the Fox in Denchworth towards the end of the ride. NB: 2's are running a bridge ride at a slower pace than normal to give 1 riders the opportunity to try out a 2* ride. Please pre-book for this ride by contacting the ride leader. Our leisurely and sociable Tuesday evening 1* rides are designed specifically with adult newcomers to cycling and youngsters in mind, or those who just want some relaxed and sociable exercise. We cover a distance of 10-15 miles (16-24km) at a gentle pace of 8-10 mph (13-16kph), following quiet country lanes and the occasional easy off-road track. We stop regularly to catch our breath, to take in the views and anything that takes our interest along the way.
Riders: Anke Otto Carin Tranter John Stamp John Tranter Tim Waite Riders = 5 Weather: Report: Five riders set off on the hot evening for Garford church. Sadly Karen and Adrian, who were due to be with us, were unable to set out on the ride due to a puncture. The heat was bearable with the breeze created by the motion of riding along. We rode out to Garford via the track to West Hanney from Grove, then up Winter Lane to the Garford turning. We rode through the village and then through the farm yard to the little Garford Parish Church. We lingered for a while in the church yard, before setting off for The Fox pub in Denchworth. John S returned home from Denchworth, but the rest of us went to the pub, myself, John T and Anke for dinner and Tim for a drink. A very pleasant ride and dinner
