Easy Off Road Sunday Morning Ride	2*

Leader: Eddie Little	Start Time: 9:30 am	Start Location: The Nelson, Charlton Road, Wantage.
Description: Please pre-book for this ride by contacting the ride leader. Off-road half day ride around local tracks, usually 15-30 miles. Knobbly tyres required. We are keen to welcome new riders of all abilities. This route has minimum climbing and is one of our shorter distance weekend rides. So, if you’re looking for a gentle Off-Road ride and can’t make our Thursday evening rides, then this ride should suit you. On leaving the Nelson, we’ll head out to East Hendred via the Icknield Way. We’ll then follow the bridleways through and around the village, taking a more gentle climb up to the Ridgeway by Scutchamer Knob. We’ll then follow the Ridgeway out as far as the Court Hill Centre, this is where we’ll stop for our elevenses. Once refreshed, we’ll return to Wantage via Larkhill. Ride Distance 16.7miles/27km.

It was a pleasure to welcome Sarah on her first Off-road ride with the club. The cooler weather conditions were most welcome, along with a nice breeze for most of the ride. It was nice to use some different trails around the area of East Hendred.Thanks to Robin for showing us some new trails from behind the Harwell Campus perimeter fence, very interesting and good fun. Riding conditions along the Ridgeway from Scutchamer knob out to the Court Hill Centre were absolutely perfect. Some well deserved refreshments were taken outside in the shade at the Court Hill Centre. Once refreshed, we returned to Wantage via Lark Hill. Perfect riding conditions along with great company. Thanks everyone.
