Report:
An interesting ride with 12 visitors from the Club de Velo D'Argentan (Abingdon's twin town in Normandy) and six less experienced riders from amongst the Abingdon hosts. Two (of the nine) Wantage riders rode on the first leg from Abingdon, the remainder joining at Grove. From there we split into two groups as we were 25 strong. The rain held off although we were faced with a strong head wind as we headed west through pretty downland villages to Coleshill tea rooms (good for the return journey). En route the French visitors took in some tourist spots - a cricket match at Childrey and the great barn at Great Coxwell. An enjoyable and slightly different ride. The full return to Abingdon, with the French visitors stopping off at the Red Lion in Drayton was 59 miles.
