Tuesday Evening 2* Ride	2*

Leader: Chris Walters	Start Time: 6:30 pm	Start Location: OMH
Description: Celebrate the summer solstice with a longer (32km) 2* ride out along the Downs Road and then the (optional, but very much encouraged!) local Ventoux - White Horse Hill. The views from the top definitely make it worth the climb. Returning via the flatlands of Uffington, Baulking and Goosey.
Riders: Chris Walters John Stamp Louis Hall Paul Macintosh Paula Tansley Sorrel Williams Steve Boreham Riders = 7 Report: A long ride with a long hill - we certainly made best use of the longest day of the year. An uneventful ride out over the rollers along the downs road to the bottom of White Horse Hill, albeit with a fierce headwind to contend with at a few points. Everyone made it up the hill very well with a few tactical stops to admire the view and to fix the broken bikes of the 3* group who overtook us on the hill. The views from the top were quite stunning! Returning via Woolstone, Uffington and Goosey, we had a few wind-assisted dashes "just because we could", arriving back in Grove somewhat later than usual! Very well done to everyone for conquering the local mountain - it's not an easy climb, but everyone did a great job (and thank you to Sorrel who did a great job of encouraging everyone)!
