Regular Wantage Ride	3*

Leader: Neil Warner	Start Time: 9:30 am	Start Location: WMP
Description: 80-100km all-day touring ride, with coffee, lunch and possibly tea stop en route, riding pace 18-22km/h (11-14mph). This month we'll been meeting other local CTC groups for coffee at Aston Pottery and will ride together to lunch at Sparsholt. There will be a short hilly section after lunch with tea back in Wantage. 60-mile round trip. Riders are very welcome to join us for part or all of the ride.
Riders: Andy Cowan Andy Newell Ellen Lee Helen Beane James Dawton Neil Warner Paul Jarvis Stephen Lee Steve Swanton Riders = 9 Report: Sixteen all told met at Aston Pottery, losing a few along the way, all went well until lunch. Our booking was mysteriously not logged at the Star and they had no food on. Due to a couple of punctures we were running bit late so diverted to Wantage for lunch. The Bear Hotel did a fine line in food and baled me out of a hole. The Wantage contingent rode out as far as Lyford with the departing groups and swung round back to Wantage. I must apologise for the lunch mix up. Fancy phoning a pub asking if there was any problem with 15 or so for lunch being told fine, telling them the date and just thinking it was all OK then.
