Tuesday Evening 3* Ride 3*
Leader:
Louis Hall
Start Time:
6:30 pm
Start Location:
OMH
Description:
Long, hilly, quick - or any combination! - 35-45km

A flattish ride out into the Vale at the easier end of the 3* range to enable those who are confident at 2* to try a 3* ride.

We'll go out via Denchworth to Uffington and Longcot and then come back through Shellingford, Hatford and Stanford in the Vale. A bright and breezy 24 miles!
Riders:
Adrian West
Andy Pixton
Barry Gills
Chris Walters
Des Higgs
John Tranter
Louis Hall
Mark Shepley
Maurice Bawden
Mila Yearley
Richard Preece
Steve Joyce
Riders = 12

Weather:
hazy sun
Report:
A dozen riders set out on a lovely evening through the vale. The humidity gradually fell and the sun shone on us gently from Uffington onwards.

We made steady progress at 3* guideline of 14 mph. Then, on Park Lane, just as we were starting to crank up the pace, Des's economy pedal broke. Seven of the group went on, while four of us accompanied Des and his one and a half effective legs back to Grove.
Distance:
39.75 km (24.70 mi)
