Leader: John Tranter	Start Time: 6:30 pm	Start Location: OMH
Description: Fancying some hills tonight. Out around Wantage to Letcombe Regis, up Court Hill. Brief section of A338 before the roller coaster across to Brightwalton. Then a few options, depending on how time is going. Basically, we will make our way to Farnborough and then swoop down Chain Hill in to Wantage. My cunning back route around Wantage and the bike track back to Grove. 21 miles or so, at a steady pace around 13mph, with a few exciting hills!

A rather nasty close shave with an idiot driver on the way through Wantage, but otherwise the route went according to plan. A certain variation in fitness levels revealed itself on the hills - everyone else was fit and, after nearly a month away on holiday, I wasn't. Fortunately everyone was kind and patient and it all worked out! Good to shoot down Chain Hill realising that the Tour of Britain will be coming that way in just a few weeks. Commiserations to Olivia, who crashed in the wet on the way to the start.
