Wallingford 2* Afternoon Ride	2*

Leader: John Talbot	Start Time: 1:30 pm	Start Location: Wallingford Market Place
Description: I'm leading this ride on behalf of CTC Wallingford but of course it's open to all and an opportunity for CTC Wantage riders to ride a bit further east than normal. This will be a ride of around 30-40km (20-25 miles) at a riding pace of 18-21kph (11-13mph) with a tea-stop. Approx. 3.5 hours duration. Starting from the Market Place in Wallingford the easiest place to park is in the car park on Goldsmiths Lane which is free on a Sunday and very close by. We'll explore the small villages north-east of Wallingford towards Watlington and Chalgrove. We'll stop at Benson Waterfront on the way back for tea and cake. A couple of rises early on but no major hills.
Riders: Brian Hipwell David Yearley John Talbot Mila Yearley Simon Payne Riders = 5 Weather: Report: Eleven riders (five Wantage regulars) on this gentle ride around the villages north east of Wallingford. There must have been a lot of rain in the area yesterday as some of the roads had drifts of debris on them and we had to cycle through a flood at one point! No dramas, a nice relaxed ride in good company. Many thanks to Ian Robinson for sweeping the ride and making sure we didn't lose anyone off the back
