Saturday afternoon ride from Grove	2*

Leader: Glen Savegar	Start Time: 1:00 pm	Start Location: OMH
Description: Monthly 45-55km (30-40 miles) afternoon ride, with a tea stop, at a riding pace of 18-20km/h (11-13mph). Not likely to be very hilly. Might be a struggle for new or irregular riders in winter months. Our first 2* Saturday outing of the year, and a chance to explore some of the villages and quiet lanes of the vale, before calling off at The Rookery Faringdon for tea. Distance will be at the lower end of our guidelines, but decent lights are still essential in case of delays. A couple of moderate climbs, but always at a comfortable pace for all. OMH, Letcombes, Childrey, Sparsholt, Westcot, Kingston Lisle, Uffington, Fernham, Little Coxwell, Faringdon (Tea), Fernham, Baulking, Goosey, Denchworth, OMH. Approx 49 kms (30 miles)

After tea it was time to wrap up again and head for home, the light and temperature now fading rapidly. A slight change to the planned route due to the railway bridge closure at Uffington junction saw us return via Shellingford and Hatford. Thanks everyone! Glen S
