3* Saturday Half Day Ride to Lechlade	3*

Leader: Nick Stokell	Start Time: 1:00 pm	Start Location: OMH
Description: Half day ride (60-70km / 38-45 miles), with a tea stop, riding pace of 20-24km/h (13-15mph). Likely to visit distant destinations. Not suitable for irregular riders. Climbing likely. This is a generally flat ride out to Southrop just West of Lechlade visiting some of the country lanes and villages in the area. We head out via Buckland, Bampton and Langford returning through Lechlade (tea stop at 39 kim), Coleshill, Faringdon and Fernham. NOTE - AFTERNOON RIDE!
Riders: Chris Bailey John Groves Nick Dunton Nick Stokell Riders = 4 Weather: Report: With the England game on as well as Steve's county boundary ride it was no surprise that there were only four of us, but we enjoyed unbroken sunshine, a cooling breeze and unusually quiet roads. The consensus was for a stop at the cafÃ© by the river rather than the garden centre and we almost had the place to ourselves (strangely) - cafÃ© latte/tea 50/50 split, a couple of disappointing flapjacks (and a perfectly satisfactory ice cream). After Badbury Clumps Chris began to suffer from the heat, partially treated by the news from youngsters at Fernham that England were 1-0 up at half time. At the Goosey turn-off Nick left the three of us as we headed straight back to Wantage. Thanks guys for a very pleasant afternoon and kudos to Nick for notching up 100 km by leaving his car at home - and burning off a good few tapas.
