Daytime 2* Thursday Ride to Childrey via Fawler Hill	2*

Leader: Des Higgs	Start Time: 10:30 am	Start Location: OMH
Description: Sociable rides from 24km-40 km (15-25 miles) at a pace of 16-19km (10-12 miles) per hour. Please check website on the morning of the ride if the weather is poor as the ride may be cancelled or the start time changed. This is a pre-bookable ride. To book a place, text your name to the ride leader no earlier than 9:00am on the Friday before the ride. You will receive confirmation or be advised that the ride is fully booked. A reserve list will be maintained. Leaving OMH at 10.30 ride out to Childrey for coffee at 11.30 ish. Out via Denchworth Goosey and Fawler Hill and Kingston Lisle to Childrey. Return route to be determined by the weather!.
Riders: David Bridge Des Higgs Ernie Trimble Karl Blake Patrick O'Leary Terry Ryland Riders = 6 Weather: Report: A very good bunch of riders on a very leisurely ride. Everybody handled Fawler Hill with great confidence. (Most had already successfully tackled the White Horse Challenge). We stopped at the bottom to take in the stone circle on the left (circa 2019) so not such an ancient monument! We carried on through Westcot and Sparsholt to the cafe at Childrey, where we were well looked after with hot coffee and a cake if required. Here we met Paul and John and had a long chat about bikes. David departed earlier than the rest as he needed to get home. All in all a good ride, good company, no mechanical incidents and the only weather was some fine drizzle. However we all noticed that it seemed to get colder as we returned through Denchworth and Grove. Thank you one and all.
