3* Saturday Half Day Ride	3*

Leader: Jo Little	Start Time: 9:30 am	Start Location: OMH
Description: Half day ride (60-70km / 38-45 miles), with a tea stop, riding pace of 20-24km/h (13-15mph). Likely to visit distant destinations. Not suitable for irregular riders. Climbing likely. This is a bookable ride for up to 10 riders, so please let me know if you want to come. We'll head out past Kingston Bagpuize and Cumnor before the great descent to Farmoor reservoir. We'll then have a cafe stop at Aston pottery (25 miles) before heading back through Standlake and Stanford in the Vale and back to Grove. 45 miles mostly flat miles, with a chance to admire all the flowers at Aston pottery.

There was a strong headwind at times (thank you to Chris for taking the wind for me on a tough stretch). We split into two groups with a small gap between, to avoid annoying the car drivers too much (thanks to John for leading the second group). Aston pottery was great, as always, with both cakes and flower beds to enjoy. A great group to lead and an enjoyable ride through the country.
