Back-on-your-bike Ride 2022	1*

Leader: Carin Tranter	Start Time: 2:00 pm	Start Location: OMH
Description: Our Annual Spring Ride aimed at those who haven't been cycling much over the winter and want to dust off their bike and get the pedals turning again. Newcomers will be very welcome and it's an opportunity for club members to bring family and friends. Younger riders accompanied by a parent or guardian will be most welcome. To help us plan, please book your place by texting the ride leader not earlier than the Sunday before the ride. This year's ride will follow an essentially flat route around the lanes of the Vale of White Horse visiting the pretty villages of Lyford, Charney Bassett and Stanford-in-the-Vale, a round trip of about 15.5 miles. We'll have a refreshment stop on the Church green at Stanford - please bring a snack and a drink to slake your thirst.

We welcomed Tamsin as a new (but fit and experienced) rider and went at a slightly faster pace than advertised as there were no families or riders who had just got back on their bikes after the Winter and early Spring. We rode out to Stanford via Lyford and Charney and stopped briefly on the green by the church before moving onto the Co-op where some ice creams were purchased! Des knew of a further green space down a side road by the primary school, so we sat there to eat and drink. We returned via Park Lane and returned to Denchworth and Grove via Asti Stud. Very enjoyable!
