?Easy Rider? Saturday Afternoon Ride from Grove

Description: Leisurely ride of 45 to 55km with tea stop.In view of the current severe flooding affecting many parts of Oxfordshire,I have decided to run a repeat of the ride,undertaken back in the spring.Outward route-Via Denchworth,Goosey,Uffington,Woolstone,Longcot,Little Coxwell,Faringdon for coffee.Return route-Via Fernham,Shellingford,Hatford,Charney Bassett.
Riders: Brian Hipwell Edith Hipwell Eve Thornton (decd) Ginny Henderson Glen Savegar Kevin Fairs Lee Wright Lorna Howard Pat Hurt Philip Thornton-Evison Simon Dales Stephen Quartermain Steve Swanton Sue King Riders = 14 Report: Think I was probably being optimistic and pessimistic in the same sentence, when I rang the lady at the cafe warning her to expect between 4 and 12 cyclists at about 3.00pm.14 of us turned up for the start(Oh well!At least I managed to guess the tea stop arrival time correctly!)Enjoyed a lovely ride across the Vale,initially with cloudy skies,rapidly clearing in the stiff breeze to reveal a perfect summers day.Thanks everyone for a great afternoons cycling.
