Daytime 2* Thursday Ride	2*

Description: A ride out to The Grocers Chef at Ardington for coffee. We will head out to Childrey and the Letcombes then through Wantage taking the Icknield way to Ardington. Following coffee we will return via Laines Barn. Please pre-book for this ride by contacting the ride leader. Sociable ride of 24-40 km (15-25 miles) at a pace of 18-20km/h (11-13 mph).
Riders: Des Higgs Gillie Tracey John Salmon John Tranter Malcolm Heavens Pauline Clark Roger Postbeschild Riders = 7 Weather: Report: A beautiful spring morning for a cycle with a ride planned to get the hills out of the way before coffee! It was lovely to see some new faces; John and Gillie and both took the hills in their stride! we went out via Denchworth Challow and Childrey, onto Wantage via the Letcombes enjoying the sweep down into Bassett, (taking heed of the new 20mph Speed limit). leaving Letcombe Regis we took the scenic route along the cycle path down locks Lane and across the ford and onto Priory Road and then joined the Icknield way passing by the wantage and Grove Horticultural shed at the end of trinder way. once into Locking we were met by the 1* group heading back having found the Grocers Chef Closed. After a brief consultation we decided to go to Marco Polo for coffee and sadly missed the last remaining hill! Having enjoyed a splendid coffe and met Kath the group split up with just John, Des, Roger and John making our way through the traffic lights to Grove. A great ride with super company .
