Description: Please book for this ride by contacting the ride leader. Easy sociable ride of 24-32 km (15-20 miles) at a pace of 14-17km/h (9-11 mph). To Ardington via Icknield Greenway and Ginge. Cycle path from Grove to Wantage, up Harcourt Road through Charlton and Kingsgrove, down to Lockinge. Icknield Greenway, up to Ginge before descending again to the Grocer Chef in Ardington for coffee. Return via Lains Barn.
Riders: Angie Fisher Lorna Swanton Patrick O'Leary Sarah Macaulay Steve Swanton Susie Turnbull Tim Waite Riders = 7 Weather: Report: An unexpected extra loop of discovery and an unexpected extra rider on this beautiful morning, thankfully much cooler than last week. Four of us set off from Old Mill Hall, meeting Sarah and Tim in Charlton before heading off into Kingsgrove for our exploration of the new estate. Tim led us round to the new Woodland Walk, with its impressive wide and smooth path, quite a contrast to the lumps and bumps of the Icknield Greenway further on. After the slope up from the bridge, just as we were catching our breath, Susie appeared on her way up from West Hendred and joined us as we looped up to Ginge, along to Betterton and down to Ardington for coffee at the Grocer Chef. From there our paths diverged, with only three of us taking the planned route back to Grove. Lovely to be out; thanks everyone for your company.
