Sunday Afternoon Shortie	3*

Leader: Sharon Bedford	Start Time: 1:00 pm	Start Location: Beacon
Description: Please pre-book for this ride by contacting the ride leader. A 2 Hour ride (24-40km / 15-25 miles), riding pace of 20-24km/h (13-15mph). Not suitable for irregular riders. Climbing likely. Mixing it up a little with an early afternoon ride round the vale.
Riders: Barry Stanton Des Higgs Jo Little Sharon Bedford Riders = 4 Report: 4 intrepid riders venturing out on a wet and grey afternoon. The heavy rain kept away (mostly) - but we still got wet because of the spray from the wet roads. Unfortunately just as the rain was at its heaviest I got a puncture. Barry kindly did most of the repair (I understand he is getting a reputation at being the ride mechanic) using Jo's inner tube (my spare had a big hole in it despite being a recent purchase) and Des's CO2 canister. I think the next coffee round should be on me! We then returned to Wantage incident free (even navigating a couple of big puddles). Smiles all around despite it not being the best of conditions.
