Tuesday Evening Rides

Description: We will aim to have two ride leaders to offer leisurely and sporty options.

While we were fearing a blowy evening, the hedges kept us nicely sheltered and we bowled along nicely at a reasonable but very comfortable pace, chatting and being very sociable! The group kept together quite nicely, slowly losing folks along the way as they peeled off to get their dinners! Really enjoyable ride - thanks neveryone for making it so pleasant! You can see the route at http://connect.garmin.com/activity/323819. 10 of us rode the leisurely covering 17 miles in a little over 80 minutes. We headed out into the breeze across the vale through Denchworth, Goosey and towards Baulking befroe turning South to climb up into Kingston Lisle. Lee won the laurels as king of the mountains here, while some took the chance to stretch their legs... We continued back through Westcot and Sparsholt to Childrey, keeping up with some (slowish) roadies through the lanes, before dropping down the hill to the main road (A417)and back via Denchworth. With a nice tail-wind we fairly sailed home. Thanks Edith for another enjoyable ride. Steve S.
