Off Road Tuesday Evening Ride	2*

Leader: Eddie Little	Start Time: 6:30 pm	Start Location: Lord Nelson Charlton Road.
Description: Please pre-book for this ride by contacting the ride leader. Off-road ride around local tracks, usually about 15 miles. Knobbly tyres required and good lights when it gets dark (‘get you home’ lights in Spring/Autumn). We are keen to welcome new riders and can make recommendations or have spare lights to borrow if you let us know. Dark, cold and wet - we’ll ride in any two. But please let us know if you are coming so we can tell you if we decide to cancel due to bad weather or other reasons. I’m planning to head south up Larkhill, then across to the Ridgeway, down Old Street taking us up through Bluebell Wood, Heath Copse, Dark Lane, Hodcott to Mick Channons Yard at West Ilsley, then back up onto the Ridgeway & across to Betterton & Lockinge. Distance 16.07miles. Please arrive by 6.20pm for the ride leader's briefing and a prompt start to the ride. We are not always able to wait beyond the start time.
Riders: Eddie Little Jane John Nicole Pethybridge Roger Postbeschild Steve Legate Yvonne Bird Riders = 6 Weather: Report: What a fantastic evening for a ride on the trails. Six of us set off taking in the beautiful views of the Ridgeway & the Lockinge & Hendred Estate. As we descended along Old Street Steve & his bike had an encounter with a rather deep & muddy bog. Whoops!! Once poor Steve had cleaned himself up, we were then able to carry on to enjoy the rest of the beautiful evening. The trails were mostly nettle free & in reasonable condition though some areas were a little over grown with tall grass etc. Wildlife spotted - two muntjac at Hodcott Buildings. Well done to all riders who rode extremely well & for being a nice group to spend an evening on the trails with. Also hats off to Steve! Despite Steve being plastered in mud & rather wet, Steve was a good sport & carried on to complete the ride with us.

Sunny Evening Off Road Ride June 24 Unfortunately Steve found the bog on Old Street. Bluebell Wood June 24 Nicole descends into West Ilsley. Jane & Yvonne descend into Ilsley. A perfect evening for a ride on the trails.
