Description: Please pre-book for this ride by contacting the ride leader. Easy sociable ride of 24-32 km (15-20 miles) at a pace of 14-17km/h (9-11 mph). Hopefully the mini-heatwave will be past its worst by Thursday but we will still do a fairly easy and flat ride - out to the lovely villages of Longworth and Hinton Waldrist and a cafe stop at Munch in Southmoor. 23 miles / 37km
Riders: Carin Tranter Diana Whidborne John Tranter Lindsey Barker Lorna Swanton Mila Yearley Susie Turnbull Tim Hoyle Riders = 8 Weather: Report: Heatwave over and some worrying spots of rain at the start, but things brightened up and we had a generally sunny ride, albeit with a stiff westerly breeze. Great to explore the lovely villages of the Vale, particularly the church and manor house at Longworth and the views over the edge into the Thames Valley. We tried out Southmoor Village Hall for our cafe stop, but they were about to close and almost out of cake, so we diverted to Munch who looked after us well. Thanks to all for a great ride in great company.
