Tuesday Evening 1* Rides Restart	1*

Leader: Steve Swanton	Start Time: 6:30 pm	Start Location: OMH
Description: For our first Evening 1* ride of the season, a gentle ride to the green at Goosey and back via Denchworth, a distance of around 8.5 miles. It can get cold in the lanes on April evenings, so please wrap up; gloves recommended. Please pre-book for this ride by contacting the ride leader. Our leisurely and sociable Tuesday evening 1* rides are designed specifically with adult newcomers to cycling and youngsters in mind, or those who just want some relaxed and sociable exercise. We cover a distance of 10-15 miles (16-24km) at a gentle pace of 8-10 mph (13-16kph), following quiet country lanes and the occasional easy off-road track. We stop regularly to catch our breath, to take in the views and anything that takes our interest along the way.
Riders: John Stamp Lorna Swanton Steve Swanton Susan Holdroyd Riders = 4 Weather: Report: A low-keys start to the new season of Tuesday Evening 1* rides with 4 riders cycling out to Goosey. We set out under grey skies on freshly damp roads but the weather brightened as we rode and the sun broke through on several occasions to cast a warmer glow over the hedgerows and Goosey green. We stopped by the far corner of the green next to a pond with fine bullrushes and enjoyed the bird song and some animal spotting (including a muntjac deer and some black rabbits). There were just a few spots of rain as we headed back, but nothing more. Back in Grove, we stopped by Sycamore walk to admire the patch of daffodils and cherry trees on the green, before heading our separate ways. Thanks all for a mellow ride.
